A Message from The Cafritz Foundation

Dear colleagues and partners,

For more than 75 years, The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation has been unwavering in its commitment to the DC region and its residents.  As we begin a new year, we want to express our gratitude to our grantees for all they do to make our DC community better.  With the leadership of our Co-Executive Directors, Mary Mulcahy and Gretchen Greiner-Lott, we continue to listen to and learn from our grantees, providing responsive funds for community needs.  And, although we have moved to a new suite in the same building, we are not going anywhere.

We understand that the needs of the DC community are many and the issues are interconnected.  In this moment, the Foundation remains steadfast in our support for nonprofits across our priority areas – Arts and Humanities, Community Services, Education, Environment and Health.  Together with our grantees, the Foundation will continue to help build better communities and work to fulfill our mission of improving the lives of all DC area residents.
